I invest in Bitcoins, I’m a follower!

I invest in Bitcoins, I’m a follower!

“Do you own Bitcoins?
WHAT!!!!??? You don’t. Are you crazy or what?”

No, I haven’t invested in Bitcoins.

I wasn’t interested to do so at the moment. It was not even in my radar.

And probably when it got to my attention it was already too late.

I don’t know if I will in the future but for now I’m very comfortable with what I do.

What was the real trigger about writing about it, was an email I received from my mother. She wanted me to explain her about an article she read. I found it very funny so I translated it (tried to) because I wanted to share it to you:

“Many monkeys were living near a village.

One day, a merchant came to the village to buy these monkeys!

He announced that he would buy the monkeys $100 each.

The villagers thought this man was crazy. They thought how can anyone buy stray monkeys at $100 each?

Yet some people caught monkeys and gave them to this merchant and he gave them back $100 for each monkey.

This news spread like wildfire and people grabbed monkeys and sold them to the merchant.

After a few days, the merchant announced that he would buy them $200 a piece.

Lazy villagers also ran to catch the remaining monkeys! They sold the remaining monkeys at $200 each.

Then the merchant announced that he would buy monkeys for $500 each!

The villagers started to lose sleep! They caught six or seven monkeys, which was all that was left and got $500 each.

The villagers anxiously waited for the next announcement. Then the merchant announced that he was coming home for a week. And when he would come back, he would buy $1 000 monkeys each! He asked his employee to take care of the monkey purchases.

His employee was alone at home to take care of all the monkeys in a cage. The merchant has returned home. The villagers were very sad because there were no more monkeys for sale at $1 000 each. Then the employee told them that he would secretly sell them monkeys at $700 each.

This news spread like wildfire. Since the trader would buy monkeys at $1 000 each, there would be a profit of $300 for each monkey.

The next day, the villagers queued near the monkey cage. The employee sold all the monkeys at $700 each.

The riches have bought monkeys in bunch.

The poor borrowed money from money lenders and also bought monkeys!

The villagers took care of their monkeys and waited for the return of the merchant.

But no one came!

Then they ran to the employee. But he was already gone too!

The villagers then realized that they had bought useless itinerant monkeys at $700 each and were unable to sell them!

Bitcoin will be the next monkey money business.

It will make a lot of bankrupt people and some greedy, and rich people … to fall into this monkey business.

That’s how Bitcoin works!”

There is always something in this world that seems more interesting; that is giving more money than what you are making. You can always learn and adapt or stay with what you are comfortable with.

I often praise that you have to get out of your comfort zone if you want to grow as an individual but for me Bitcoins never looked attracting.

I was way out of it maybe at that time but I was seeing it like the Dot-com bubble.

And I was having too many flashbacks of Christmas Eve between 1999 and 2000 when everybody’s lips were saying “I own Enron”.

Risk is about not knowing. Thanks to Warren Buffet for that.

Can you imagine that since I have started my journey with FortunateTrader.com that more or less than 10 people a week are reaching out to me on Facebook to teach or learn about Bitcoins. So I decided to learn about the Bitcoins since a lot of you are requesting more information on the subject.
